Long Sutton Hockey Club is on the lookout for new players ahead of their pre-season training.

Both the ladies and men’s section have a new coaching set up for the new season and the club are looking to not only help existing players to develop but to attract new players to the club.

The ladies section consists of two teams and train on Wednesday evenings from 7pm at the Peele Leisure Centre, Long Sutton, the first session being August 1.

The ladies have just secured Neil Evans on a two year coaching deal and are looking forward to further improving both teams, a process he began last season.

Neil has wide coaching experience and while he worked well with the whole club last year, this year he is concentrating his efforts on the ladies section as he looks to help both teams push for promotion.

The men’s section consists of three teams and train on Tuesday evenings from 7pm, the first session being July 31.

The men have secured Mike Yeoman on a two year coaching deal from this year.

Mike is a full senior international player who can boast more than 40 years as a coach.

Pre-season training for both ladies and men’s is open to current club players who are looking to play adult hockey this year as well as any players looking to come and join.
