A TOUGH league match against losing League Cup finalists Fulbourn Bluebirds awaited the in-form Haddenham team.
A win would almost certainly mean Haddenham would finish in fourth spot, and this spurred the team on to their best display of the season.
Haddenham were quickest out of the blocks, putting Fulbourn under intense pressure. It was only a matter of time before a goal was scored, and Vanessa Purton duly obliged after 10 minutes, pouncing on a rebound after Kate Read shot had been saved. It could have been more with Dawn Ludbrooke terrorising the Fulbourn right back, but the finishing touch was missing. A minute before half time however, Vicky Hutchinson popped up for her third goal in two games.
Fulbourn hit back with a free kick from 20 yards to make it 2-1, but Terri Martin expertly finished an great passing move to put the result out of doubt.
