HADDENHAM maintained their position at the head of CCA Division 5A with a comfortable 112-run victory over Isleham.
Sent in to bat first, Haddenham batted consistently and patiently to work their way to 183-7 at the close of the innings. Geoff Thistlethwaite top scoring with 58* while good contributions from Chris Hughes (35) and Geoff Buck (35) helped keep the scoreboard ticking over.
With a decent total to defend, Haddenham were able to bowl with a degree of abandon as they chased crucial wickets. The mandate for aggression allowed Haddenham's Neil Smith to bag a hatful of wickets, collecting 5-12 to demolish Isleham's top order. Jeff Buck completed a superb day's work with 3-14.
