HADDENHAM ABC boxer Jack Ure was narrowly beaten on points in bout against a tough opponent from Wisbech.
The decision went marginally against twelve-year-old Jack who was the only fighter from Haddenham at the event in Chatteris at the weekend.
Jack's trainer Mick Sawyer said: "He boxed okay but he didn't do as well as he can that's for sure.
"But that is how you progress in this game, he is only 12 years old and fights like this are how you develop and become a better boxer. To be honest it's better to get the losses out of the way in the early stages for Jack."
Haddenham boxers' Jack Fraser, Jesse Smith and Tyler Goodjohn will all be in action again in the New Year at the NABC event in Leicester on January 24.
