SOHAM Town Rangers were forced to settle for a draw against Leighton Town on Tuesday night after a late equaliser once again denied them all three points.
The Greens let an important win slip against Bedworth United last week after an injury time equaliser and it was a goal at the death that cost them once more on Tuesday night as Leighton salvaged a point late on.
The point leaves Ian Benjamin’s men rooted to the bottom of the Zameretto Divsion One with a game against fellow strugglers Bedfont Town on Saturday.
Soham’s typically ambitious attacking play saw them take the lead after 15 minutes as Tom Benjmain netted and they held the lead until the 47th minute when Leighton equalised through James Hatch.

In-form striker Dubi Ogbonna restored Soham’s lead just shy of the hour mark from the penalty spot but Ben Gallant was on hand to peg the Greens back once more after 82 minutes.
Ogbonna looked to have won the game for Soham with just five minutes remaining as he collected a measured pass from midfield to slot home but it wasn’t to be again for Soham as a deep cross was bundled home by Aiden Denton with just minutes left on the clock.
