ELY Greens roller hockey team became Division Two champions and maintained their unbeaten record in their final tournament of the season.

Needing just one point from three matches they secured the title by winning their first match 5-1 against Cottenham.

Losing 1-0 at half-time, Greens took control in the second half. They quickly equalised and James Cox (2), Max Dunand, Sam Arnold and Callum Thoday completed the scoring.

Ely then celebrated their title victory with wins over King's Lynn and EC Select.

At the end of a cagey first half Ely led King's Lynn 1-0 at half-time but another fine second half performance resulted in a 5-1 win.

Dunand scored a hat-trick and Emma Gillett and James Cox also hit the target.

The final game against division runners-up EC Select proved to be a goal-fest and Greens led 7-3 at half-time.

Greens keeper Kasia Parfitt made a crucial save and Ely won the match 10-6. Scorers were Thoday (5), Cox (2), Arnold (2) and Dunand.

Aiden Cooper was named player of the day.
