JUNIOR golf starlet Emily Slater, came through a nail-biting playoff to claim victory in a British Junior Tour event last week.
Taking place at the Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire on Saturday, Emily battled against 20 other competitors in her category including 18 boys, to claim the victory.
Emily, who lives in Ely, shot an 83 on her first round to take the overall lead but her form dipped on the second day's play as she shot a 15 over par, 87.
Her overall score meant the youngster tied for first place with Shrewsbury's Harry Burt and the pair went head-to-head in a one-hole playoff for the win.
Despite coming within inches of slicing her approach out of bounds, the youngster recovered to take the hole and the title.
