Witchford Colts Under 16s snapped a five-game winless run in the Cambs Under 16A Division last weekend.
The Colts ended their agonising three month wait for a victory with an impressive 3-2 success over Netherton on Saturday afternoon.
Netherton looked set to seal all through points after they went 2-1 up, but skipper Eloise Pemberton slotted home from the spot to level matters in the second half.
Then, with five minutes remaining, Witchford grabbed the decisive strike and held on to take their first three points since December 10.
Witchford’s long-awaited win sees them move into sixth in the league standings, just two points behind Histon Hornets in fifth.
And they can swap places with Histon if they can beat St Ives Rangers on April 15.
