HADDENHAM shared the spoils with a fine performance against a well organised Soham side. The opening goal for Haddenham came in the first quarter from Nick Threadgold. In the third quarter a reshaped Haddenham side created some better chances and Matt Wright scored to make it 2 - 0. Soham retaliated when Evan Baird- Timmons got one back for the visitors. In the last quarter Haddenham were pegged back in the last minute of the game by a Joseph Brannan strike to make the final score 2-2. Haddenham man of the match was Joseph Alsop.

WITCHFORD played well against a good home side with every girl contributing towards a good, even match. Girl of the game Hannah Dewey opened the scoring with what the opposition manger called a 'wonder goal' and Georgia Day completed the scoring for Witchford to take all three points. Parkside 2000 1 Haddenham Rovers Colts 3

HADDENHAM Rovers Colts under 12s retained top spot in League B with a hard fought victory away to robust promotion rivals Parkside 2000.

In an eventful first half Parkside took an early lead with a breakaway goal after only two minutes. The home team's Kieran Drummond made it 1-1. Parkside gave away a second penalty and the score was 2-1 to Rovers at the break.

In the second half Oliver Holden scored the decisive goal to put Haddenham into a 3-1 and take the victory.

STRETHAM entertained Lakenheath at the Recreation Ground on Sunday and came away with an emphatic victory. Goals from George Carroll (2), Will Crisp, Michael Thomas, Craig Lawrence, Harry Thomson, Zack Barton and Ryan Newton gave the hosts all three points. Ben Ackroyd in defence and Conor Smithson had excellent games to ensure the visitors didn't threaten the Stretham goal apart from a couple of chances in each half.

ELY started well with a goal from Alfa Balde. The strong wind made it difficult for both teams and Ely missed numerous chances in the first half. Ely scored a second goal with some good passing and movement from a corner. Rowdies then pushed forward, then came back with a free kick and a good goal before they took the win with a penalty.

Alconbury Colts 0 Soham Town Colts 3

SOHAM attacked from the kick-off and Dan Driver scored first. He added a second, finding the corner of the net. Ryan Brook completed the scoring midway though the first half. Soham pressed early in the second half and could have added a fourth but the Alconbury defence stood firm. As the game went on Alconbury were awarded a penalty after some sloppy defending, but Charlie Wills pulled off a fine save to keep a clean sheet. Dalton Isaacson and Charlie Wills were handed a joint Man of the Match award for fine defensive work.

Ely Crusaders 5 Aztec Juniors 1

AZTEC made a flying start and won a corner in the first two minutes, which they converted to put them in the lead. It wasn't long before Ely equalised with a goal from Ali Bailey. Crusaders dominated play and Kurt Farr scored his first goal of the game.

After the break Ely continued to dominate when Chris McGuire scored Ely's third. Aztec showed good resilience but some excellent passing by Ely saw Maynard knock the ball to Farr who slotted it past the keeper for Ely's fourth goal. Before the final whistle Farr was able to complete his hat trick for Ely's fifth.
