It was a disappointing day for Ely City ladies as they lost out to Fen rivals Wisbech, on Saturday.
When the two sides met at Wisbech back in October, Ely came away with a 2-2 draw but they failed to repeat their performance this time around, suffering at the hands of Wisbech’s Sue Robinson, who hit a hat-trick.
Defeat leaves Ely bottom of the Division 2NW, without a win to their name so far this season.
But they will be looking to turn their luck around on Saturday when they travel to Norfolk to take on Pelicans.
Elsewhere, it was also a difficult weekend for Ely City ladies second and third teams, who both lost.
The second team went down 1-0 at St Neots III while the third team was beaten 7-1 by Huntingdon II.
