Littleport Town managed to stop the rot of three successive losses which has severely dented their hopes of promotion with a 3-1 win over Eaton Socon.
Losses to promotion rivals Fulbourn Institute and Great Shelford in recent weeks have knocked the wind from Port's sails but they had no such trouble on this occasion as the ever impressive Richie Murfitt notched up a brace to ensure Port held sway. The home side lost Andrew Lee to a red card to hand the visitors a glimmer of hope but a well taken Liam Hart goal ensured that the hosts secured all three points.
