NMC Division 1B GOALS from Aaron Carman and Josef De Pfeiffer saw Burwell Swifts steal a march on their league rivals Somersham Town on Saturday.
The two sides came into the match level on points, albeit Burwell having played four games more, but two crucial strikes for Burwell at Somersham’s West End Ground saw them to a 2-1 victory and up into second place.
Somersham’s consolation was scored by substitute Tim Harrison.
Burwell have just one fixtures remaining this season, they travel to rock-bottom Chatteris Town Reserves on April 27.
