BURWELL hosted Godmanchester on Saturday, won the toss and decided to bowl. The visitors soon found themselves outclassed by the Burwell bowling attack and were all out for 87 in 33.5 overs, with extras contributing the highest score of 27. Bowler/batsman Simon Rose, at number 10, top scored with the bat with 19 runs.
Ben Cross was kept on to bowl 13 overs and was justly rewarded with four wickets for 24 runs. Merrick Fuller had 3-19 and Mark Bissett took 2-15.

Burwell's opener, former Zimbabwe international player Grant Flower, top scored with 21 in reply. The Burwell batsmen made short work of reaching their target and finished on 89-4 in 25.4 overs. James Cowan took two wickets, including Flower's and Rice and Sykes took the other two.
