ALMOST 250 members and guests gathered at Ely City Golf Club on Saturday to help celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary.

Committee members and officials organised the gala dinner as one of the highlights of this year’s celebrations, with a packed evening of events enjoyed by hundreds of guests.

Club manager Tom Munt, said: “A five-course Jubilee-themed dinner was devised and produced with expert timing by head chef Martyn Norman and his team, with the event managed superbly by Sara Miles and Sue Housden, the club’s bar and catering managers.

“Those lucky enough to attend this sell-out commemorative evening are in no doubt it was a brilliant way to celebrate the club’s jubilee year in style.”
