One of the region’s biggest fishing events, the Marie Curie Predator Cup, is to return to the River Ouse for a fourteenth year.
The charity event, which has raised over £26,000 for Marie Curie, will be held on Sunday February 21 from 7.00am to 3pm.
A raffle and presentation of prizes will take place after the eight-hour fishing session at the Ely Beet and Sports Social club on Lynn Road.
Entry will cost £15 per peg and with an optional £5 pool on the day, with all proceeds going to Marie Curie, who provide care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families.
The competition’s usual rules - a two rod limit and strictly no live baiting - apply.
