Budding horse rider Freia Gould claimed the praise of her coaches after she claimed a top ten finish in the National Schools Equestrian Association’s County Dressage Championships.
The youngster finished in seventh place – a feat made all the more impressive due to there being a field of 28 at the competition in Bedfordshire on April 22.
The King’s Ely pupil rode to seventh whilst representing Cambridgeshire on her mare, Topflight Syanarra.
The school also qualified a team – Gould, Rachel Attwood, Phoebe Plumb and Katie Cameron – for the 100cm showjumping, but sadly had to withdraw due to injuries to a horse and two riders.
