ROVERS came back from two goals behind only to be thwarted in the last minute in an epic encounter against Swallows.

Burwell led the match by two goals but Josh Lowe netted twice to level the scores.

Haddenham pushed for the winner but Burwell broke to score the late winner.

WITCHFORD opened the scoring through Ben Lymer before Isleham restored parity from the restart.

United took advantage of loose defending to go ahead but Lymer's superb free-kick brought Witchford back level.

The visitors looked hungrier for the win and they broke to score a third.

ELY were quick out of the blocks and scored three times to take control at the break.

Witchford improved and hit the crossbar twice in the second half but Ely countered with three more goals.

SOHAM ended their three-game losing streak with an excellent draw against the table-toppers.

Histon caught Soham cold to score at the beginning of the second half but Soham dug in and Alex Theobald scored a brilliant individual goal to earn United a deserved point.

Man of the match for Soham was Jordan Chambers.

CONCEDING two goals in the first five minutes proved costly as Witchford lost out in this first round cup tie.

Saffron Walden scored two further goals in the second half before Josh Murfitt's goal gave Witchford a consolation.

TOWN recorded their first win of the season in style with a brilliant performance against Strikers.

Colt Harvey scored five goals in the first half while Ethan Povey and Cristiano also found the back of the net to give Littleport a 7-0 lead at the break.

Strikers reduced the arrears with two goals but Town continued to dominate and Tom Wakefield netted before Harvey scored another two to take his tally to seven.

A BLISTERING hat-trick from Haddenham's striker Tyrell Barrett secured an excellent victory against a well organised Witchford team.

Barrett netted his first on 24 minutes and scored a second on the stroke of half-time.

Witchford came back strongly at the start of the second period and reduced the deficit but Barrett completed his hat-trick to win the match.

Georgia Day put Witchford back in the game and Hannah Dewey levelled the scores before the break.

Chloe Minall hit the crossbar before girl of the game, Day, sealed the victory with her second goal.

TOWN produced a fine performance to secure a comfortable away win at Lakenheath.

Ben Hawkins opened the scoring for Town, who went on to score three more in the first half thanks to Nico Bishop's brace and Joseph Murfitt's strike.

Lakenheath scored either side of the break but 'Port continued to push forward and the unstoppable Bishop netted three more to take the points.

COLTS booked their place in the next round of the Tesco Cup with a fine win in Cambridge.

Jez Marshall and Robson Barker gave Soham a 2-0 lead at the break. The home side pulled back a goal but Charlie Follis and Marshall hit the target to send Soham through.

ISLEHAM had to come back from a goal down to see off Histon Hornets.

Histon's half-time lead was cancelled out by Ellis before man of the match Jordan Theobald netted the winner for Isleham.

FORDHAM Hammers moved to the top of the league with an emphatic win.

Celtic opened the scoring but Hammers hit back to make the half-time score 2-2.

Fordham were much better in the second half and goals from summer signings Ross Pears, Tristan Bacon and Tom Duff helped to give the home side the points.

ELY cruised to their second high-scoring victory in successive weeks.

Luke Hayes' brace put them on track before Haverhill netted their solitary goal.

Two goals from Alfa Balde and another from Ryan Lowe put Ely 5-1 up at the break.

Balde completed his hat-trick and Cameron Robb got on to the scoresheet before Lowe rounded-off the scoring.
