THE young Witchford side, which is starting to gel together, had a fine win.

Max Loker's superb hat-trick earned him man of the match. Ben Lymer and Callum Munden scored one each, Reece Lee netted two and there were two own goals.

Soham 10 Mepal 9

MEPAL lost out by a single goal in a 10-9 reverse at Soham.

Seven goals for George Rayner were not enough for Mepal, with Harrison Jones and an own goal completing the scoring.

The home side, though, were always in the game, aided by some fortunate deflections, which resulted in three own goals.
