SOHAM started off eagerly with Ryan Brook heading home at the far post from a Brian Tatay cross.
Simon Murfitt soon increased the lead with a well-placed free kick from just outside the box. The pressure was now all coming from Town and Josh Heaps struck a third after a fine solo run through the Aztecs' defence.
Ryan Brook secured a comfortable half-time advantage for Town, tapping home from close range.
After the break it was more of the same with further goals coming from Leevan Marshall (two) and Andrew Pickerill. Craig Allen slotted home goal number eight from a difficult angle to complete a comfortable win for Soham.
Tatay won the Soham man of the match award for an impressive performance on the right.

Priory Parkside 0 Ely City 1
ELY deserved this shock win against fourth placed Priory because of the determination in their play.
Defensively Ely played their best football of the season. Up-front Codie Couzens was unlucky when his shot just went wide while Dan Beavis was unlucky with a dipping shot. City's best chance came when they won a late penalty but Newton's spot kick was well saved.
The second half saw City have the better chances and after a couple of near misses Ely got the goal they deserved when Matt Waites's fierce shot was not held by the keeper, from the rebound Waites reacted quickest to bang a left foot shot into the net. After the goal Priory came at Ely but the Young Robins held on with Will Law and Liam Heaps working hard in midfield.
Ely Crusaders B 3 Balsham Colts 2
BALSHAM opened the scoring in the first five minutes but Liam Ruminski pulled Ely level and then his second put them ahead.
Balsham came out fighting and made it 2-2, but Sam Day notched the decisive goal for Crusaders.

Newmarket 3 Ely Crusaders 2
THE visitors scored first, in the opening few minutes, with a good goal slotted home by Cameron Robb, which kicked off a tight top of the table clash. Newmarket managed to draw level before half time and the visitors were playing against the wind and managed to keep them from scoring more.
The second half saw Ely press hard, with numerous chances not being put away, due in the main to some great keeping from the Newmarket keeper. Despite having the fewer chances Newmarket took them well to take a 3-1 lead. Ely rallied and pushed hard to try to get back on level terms and managed a consolation goal just before the final. Man of the match for Ely was Jake Hopkin.
Crusaders: George Bannister, Joe Dalton, Jake Hopkin, Alexander Minall, Nicholas Kyndt, Lewis Buxton, Cameron Robb, Oliver Watts, Ashley Hammersley, Joseph Smith, Jacques Odell-Rourke, Daniel Twinn, Alfa Balda, Luke Hayes, Ryan Lowe, Michael Faulkner-Dunkley.

Witchford Colts 2 Red Lodge 1
RED Lodge dominated the first half and should have led by more than 1-0 at half time.
Witchford moved Carl Lightfoot into the striker's position at the start of the second half, and he became the fulcrum of Witchford's attack, which enabled them to totally dominate the second half.
Superb goal-keeping stopped a certain hat-trick for Lightfoot and two well-taken goals by Billy Carter and Harry Spencer reversed Witchford's fortunes in this game. Witchford's man of the match was Carl Lightfoot.

Burwell Tigers 0 Ely Crusaders 3
ELY goalkeepers Mark Hady and Harry Selby, played a great game to give Ely a solid platform on a heavily thawed-out pitch.
Ely's passing game was hard to play but after Max Wright's shot on the turn they settled. Wright added the second with a left-foot volley.
With Christopher Lewis hitting the post and Finley Logan going close, Kyle Thurston then had a great run and shot, with Alfie Green tapping in the rebound.
