MILDENHALL Town have signed highly rated AFC Sudbury striker Andrew Claydon on a two-year contract.
Claydon has won five Eastern Counties League titles and appeared in three FA Vase finals during his eight-year spell at Sudbury.
Town manager Trevor Munns said: "I am delighted that we have been able to bring Andrew to Recway for next season. He is a fantastic player and has always been a big threat to us when we have played against Sudbury.
"His record speaks for itself and, having met with him last week, I am sure he will fit in well with us and be a great addition to the squad".
Claydon said: "I was disappointed to be told I was leaving Sudbury after eight great years there.
"However, I am pleased to have signed for Mildenhall Town as they were the only club I was interested in joining and am really looking forward to next season."
Mildenhall chairman Martin Tuck added: "What a fantastic signing Andrew is for our club, he is a great player on the pitch and a great character off it.
"I would like to thank both AFC Sudbury for their assistance with the transfer and our club's main sponsor P&F Safepac for their contribution in making this deal possible."
Heading in the opposite direction is Simon Head, who left Town last week but has now secured a move to Sudbury.
Strikers Dan Heron and Coren Hardy have also been allowed to the leave Mildenhall.
Heron, who signed for the club last summer, has been given permission to talk to other clubs after Munns was unable to promise him first-team football next season.
Hardy has been placed on the club's transfer list after signing from champions Wroxham in November.
