VILLAGE Inn joined Ely Park Rangers Reserves in the second round of the Cambs FA Millenium Cup as they saw off Brinkley Red Lion 5-0 with goals from Michael Ward (2), Mark Heading, Tom Parrish and Jonathan Chase.

Rangers also had five goals to spare as they breezed past Boathouse Rangers 6-1, but QPR Ely and Little Downham United both lost out.

QPR lost 4-3 at home to Magpies 2001, and Downham were humbled 6-0 at home by Trumpington Tornadoes.

In the Shelford Energy Cup, Wicken Maids Head departed at the Second Round stage, losing 6-2 at home to Ashwell Reserves.

REVITALISED Triple-S kept up their momentum with a 4-2 Senior Division victory at home to Sawston Keys.

Martin Corbett, Lee Moll and Brett Claydon struck inside a 15-minute spell to put the hosts in command, and Corbett struck again in the second half after the visitors had pulled a goal back.

Keys grabbed a late penalty consolation, but it was too little, too late as the home side ran out comfortable winners against their arch rivals.

Andrew Lee (3), David Cornwell and Martin Blakeley were on target in Division 1A as Ely Park Rangers won 5-2 at Bar Hill Reserves, and in Division 4A there were wins for Wilburton Albion (7-4 at Carlton Arms) and LTFC 1906 (13-2 at Cambridge Cosmos Reserves).

LTFC twice fell behind, but eventually ran out handsome winners with goals from Luke Butcher (4), Chris Wilson (3), Nathan Bennett (2), Jamie Dews, Rob Scotney and substitutes Aaron Arnold and James Kent.
