1-0 by Stretham in the final of a five-a-side football competition on Saturday.

Haddenham started off the Stretham Bowls Club Fun Day five-a-side tournament in fine form. They won all five of their group matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding just one. The team, with half of the squad playing up a year, then knocked out Mepal Sports with a 2-0 semi-final win before their 1-0 defeat in the final.

# HADDENHAM Rovers under-10s entered two teams into a five-a-side tournament in Histon on Sunday.

Both teams were up against some high quality opposition from the Cambridge area.

Team one narrowly failed to qualify from their group while team two produced a commendable performance and reached the semi-finals before losing 1-0 in a tight match against Histon A.

The team line-ups were as follows:

Team 1: John Falconer, James Beary, Jo Snooks, Lawrence Martin, Edward Emmerson, Robert Nangle and Kieran Drummond.
