MILDENHALL got back to winning ways with this thumping of Harwich and Parkeston.
Hall made up for a 4-0 defeat at league leaders Lowestoft Town on Thursday with six of the best against Harwich, who will finish in the bottom three as a result.
The first 20 minutes was fairly even, but 'Hall roared into life with four goals in 10 minutes after that. Paul Miles got the first on 23 minutes, weaving his way past three tackles before shooting home.
The second came two minutes later when Chris Bacon headed home an Andy Hart cross.
Miles got his second and 'Hall's third two minutes on, hammering home from 25 yards after an Alan North lay-off, and North himself got on the scoresheet a minute later, tapping home from three yards after a four man move.
The scoring dried up until 15 minutes from time when Tom English notched, and Owen Paynter's header accounted for the final goal.
In truth, it was a day when 'Hall could have reached double-figures, but assistant manager Ricky Cornish was pleased with his side's performance nonetheless.
"It was a good team effort," he said. "The clean sheet gave us a solid basis to build on and we took it from there."
Of the squad for next season, he added: "I don't see there being many changes in the summer. We need a couple more players in as cover but we've got a decent squad now.
"We've got the same points total as we had last season and if we can improve on that, it would be great.
