ELY Crusaders scintillating run of results continued at the weekend as they cruise past Willingham Wolves.

Ely signalled their intentions from the first whistle as Sam Felton opened the scoring within twenty seconds. With the Willingham defence breached early on Crusaders took full advantage as James Barrett and Lewis Hook claimed first half hat-tricks. Another for Felton and Jake Butler's brace were backed up by single strikes for Edward Frodsham, Sebastian Pettit and Anthony Riches as Ely registered thirteen goals in a one-sided first half.

Ely continued their onslaught in the second-half with Hook, Felton and Pettit all contributing another goal a-piece. Goals from George Leech, Jordan Marston and Jay Spittles completed the rout.

LITTLEPORT had the visitors under pressure from the start but were unable to find the net until Jay Coombs scored his first of five in a spectacular display on the wing.

Louie Diver scored with a shot on the turn as Littleport's passing continued to improve as the game progressed.

New signing Joe Ewing scored two to finish the game in style, Finn Cater was again great in his new defensive role, but Jay Coombs was man of the match.

COLTS dominated the game as they recorded a comfortable victory against a disorganised Cambridge side.

Witchford took control from the first whistle and were 4-0 up before Cambridge grabbed what would prove to be a consolation goal.

Goals flowed throughout the match for Witchford as they played neat pass and move football. Joe Leyland and Callum Munden weighed in with four goals each, Jack Curtis, Luca Philo and Ben Lymer netted one goal a-peice, with two late own-goals completing the scoring.

Shelford and Stapleford 2

WITCHFORD put in a strong performance to take the points.

Matthew Loades put the home team into the lead with an excellent header and Davie Thompson doubled the lead with a break away goal.

Despite an excellent defensive performance the away team came back with two goals to equalise. However, Witchford were not to be denied a deserved win and Matt Ashman capitalised on some defensive confusion to score the winning goal.

Witchford Girls 0

Alconbury Girls 0

WITCHFORD bounced back from their heavy defeat last week with a good team performance against a well organised Alconbury side.

The home team were a player down due to last minute illnesses but the girls battled hard in an even first half and dominated the play in the second, being totally camped out in the visitors half but unable to finish.

Witchford 2

Eversden 5

A SOLID first half performance resulted in Witchford taking a 2-1 lead into half time with good goals from James Edwards and Roly Dickinson.

Unfortunately, the team lost their shape and way in the second half and allowed Eversden to take control with four well taken goals. Man of the match was James Edwards.
