A local team of youngsters are hoping to pick up where they left off last season.

Littleport Rangers Under 12s went the whole of last season unbeaten and they are hoping for a repeat performance this term.

The young side, who play in the U12 Rangers Division of the Cambs Colts League, eased to an 8-0 win over Swavesey Spartans on the opening day.

They stormed to victory in their new kit, sponsored by local cleaning service Ely Clean, which has backed the side for a second year.

Terry Cooper of Ely Clean said: “The players love the new kit and they’re looking to continue last season’s success.”
