BURWELL SWIFTS 0 LAKENHEATH RESERVES 2

Burwell failed in their bid to lift a cup for the first time in 30 years as they were beaten by higher-ranked Lakenheath.

Goalkeeper Pete Brown made two good saves in the opening half, whilst at the other end Danny Jones sent a header wide of the target.

Lakenheath scored twice in quick succession to lead 2-0 on the hour mark, and although Nathan Hull and Dave Fordham came close at the other end it was not to be Burwell's day.
