SOHAM Town Rangers will be hoping to build on last week's 3-2 victory over Dunstable Town when they take on Bromsgrove Rovers at home on Saturday.

The Greens are only one league position above Bromsgrove but Rovers have three games in hand after their midweek game against Stourport was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Attacking midfielder Sean Richards - a scorer in the last two league games - will be missing for Soham through illness, with Aaron Turner likely to step in. They will also be without striker Darren Jimson, who rejoined former club Wisbech Town on Friday.

Manager Ian Benjamin said his team were well prepared for the game. "We expect a tough match against Bromsgrove, who we know are a good footballing side" he told the Ely Standard.

Benjamin is also looking to tighten up a defence that has conceded nine goals in the last three league games. "Our biggest priority will be to get our defence in order, and to cut out our silly mistakes," he added.

Soham defeated Bromsgrove 2-0 when the teams met in November, but have struggled for form at home so far this season. They will look to capitalise on Bromsgrove's poor away record, which has seen them win only twice on the road.
