George Rayner fired Mepal into a 4-0 lead, with three goals from corners, but Ely responded with five un-answered goals before the break, with a James Barrett hat-trick and an Alex Brown brace.
Lewis Hook and Jordan Marston made it 7-4, before Jacob Waters scored from another corner.
Evan Jeckells, Sam Scarborough and Hook provided a sound defensive barrier to secure victory.

FIVE second-half goals, started by two Euan Gilmour scorchers, gave Witchford the win.
Witchford keeper Ruairidh MacDonald tipped a great shot over the bar, before goals from Nathan Frances (2) and MacDonald wrapped things up.

WITCHFORD B recorded their biggest friendly-win.
Nathan Ellis scored five fantastic goals and captain and man of the match Oliver Richards scored two stunning free-kicks.
Three great Louis Green goals completed the scoring, and a fine team performance.

Soham Town Colts 7 Stretham 1
COLTS got back to winning ways with a stylish performance.
Soham's first came when Joseph Chivers crossed to Alistair Hutchison, who displayed quick feet and a fine finish. He quickly snatched his second and was unlucky not to complete a hat-trick.
A good finish pulled one back for Stretham.
Soham created a stream of chances in the second half and shortly after a brilliant save from the Stretham keeper, Jordan Turpin then Joe Heale scored to make it 4-1.
Turpin scored his second, before man of the match Travis Isaacson hit the net, and Ross Davey skipped through several tackles and completed the scoring late in the game.
Ely Crusaders A 2 Witchford Colts 2
TWO late goals earned Witchford a draw. After an open but goalless first half, two quick goals fired Ely into the lead.
Following good midfield play from David Mayle and Sam Robbins, Spencer Saberton lobbed the ball over the top for Witchford's man of the match Alec Hewitt to slot home. Five minutes later Witchford were level after a long pass to Hewitt, who scored at the fourth attempt.

Stretham Sporting 2 Littleport Town 4
A JOSEPH Murfitt wonder strike from 25 yards gave Littleport the points in this classic.
'Port took the lead when Ben Hawkins tapped in after a run from Nico Bishop and Bishop forced the ball home soon after to make it 2-0.
Stretham started the second half well and pulled a goal back, but Bishop scored with a deflected shot to make it 3-1.
A fine strike pulled another goal back for Stretham, before Murfitt clinched the win.
Haverhill Rovers 1 Soham Town Colts 12
TOWN produced a stunning response to last week's disappointing draw at Ely City.
Graham Carson opened the scoring with a fierce header from Josh Heaps' cross and goals from Ryan Brook (2), Dan Whitwell and Simon Murfitt made it 5-0 at half-time.
Rovers scored early in the second half, before Soham tore them apart.
Elliot Drewery and Brook completed fine hat-tricks and Murfitt scored his second with a header into the bottom corner after an excellent Drewery corner.
James Seymour added Town's 11th after good work by Ruben Carvalho and Whitwell completed the scoring with a superb volley from the edge of the area.

Warboys 2 Witchford 3
JAK Thompson got the first, running on to a through ball and lobbing the keeper, before Sam Barber latched onto a Sam Young pass to make it 2-0.
Warboys pulled one back after a defensive mix-up, and then equalised in the second half.
Witchford stopper Chris Thomas pulled off some superb saves, and after creating several chances, Seb Hutter struck the winner into the bottom corner, 10 minutes from time.

Ely Crusaders 1 Chatteris 1
A GREAT Chris Flemming volley from a fine Oliver Young cross gave Ely a 12th-minute lead.
Ely withstood a great deal of Chatteris pressure in the second half, with goalkeeper Scott Verdon superb, but the equaliser came two minutes from time.
