Ely Crusaders got top marks in their clash with Bluntisham Rangers Reserves after notching a staggering 10 goals in a 10-0 win.

Matt Brodie, Kurtin Mpundu and Lewis Peacock each bagged a brace as the Crusaders marched on to a sixth consecutive NMC 2B victory.

Elsewhere, in the Kershaw Premier League, Cottenham United are only one point off propping up the table after suffering their third consecutive league loss at the hands of Fowlmere.

Cottenham have failed to score in their last three league games, and their lack of goals has seen them sink to second-from-bottom in the league.

In the Kershaw Senior A, Soham United and Ely City Reserves played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, and Soham Town Rangers Reserves were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Barrington.

Burwell Swifts extended their lead at the top of the Kershaw Senior B league to eight points with a solid 2-0 at Godmanchester Rovers Reserves, but Witchford 96, after beating Ashdon Villa 4-1 last week, couldn’t produce a repeat performance this week and were beaten 2-1.

Littleport Town, pictured, were on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline against Buckden in NMC 1B, and in 2B, Isleham United’s promotion hopes suffered another blow with a 2-0 loss to March Rangers.

Little Downham Swifts played their part in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Mepal Sports, and Soham United Reserves bagged a rare 3-1 win against Mildenhall United.

However, an Ashley Brown brace couldn’t stop Cottenham United Reserves falling 5-3 to Wisbech St Mary ‘A’ in a high-scoring affair.

In NMC 3B, Burwell Swifts Reserves couldn’t soar to new heights against The Eagle, losing 5-2.

Witchford 96 Reserves were in Lower Junior Challenge Cup action, but exited the competition following a 4-1 defeat to Wisbech St Mary ‘C.’

Burwell Tigers also failed to make it into the semi-finals of the cup after going down 1-0 to Bassingbourn.

Finally, in NMC 5B, Ely Crusaders Reserves, much like their first team, were in fine scoring form and notched seven against Leavenheath Casuals Reserves in a 7-1 win featuring doubles from Jamie Thompson and Max Wright, and Cottenham United ‘A’ failed to halt Marchester United’s recent unbeaten run by losing 3-1.
