Soham Town Colts 2 Whittlesford 0

IT WAS the day of the underdogs at Soham.

Soham took an early lead when Dominic Smith dribbled through the defence and finished.

Colts defended well in the second half and, after Charlie Follis almost scored in a goalmouth scramble, Robson Barker scored the decisive goal when he capitalised on a defensive error and powered home.

Lakenheath Youth 2 Stretham Sporting 3

CRAIG Lawrence's late goal-line clearance ensured that Stretham got the points they deserved.

Lawrence fired in off the post to give the hosts a 1-0 lead at the break and George Carroll doubled Stretham's lead.

The hosts pulled one back when a corner deflected into the net, but Michael Thomas stabbed home to restore Stretham's two-goal cushion.

After Lakenheath scored again, Lawrence saved his team-mates.

KO Cup Quarter-Final

Eaton Socon 4 Soham Town Colts 3

DEFENSIVE lapses cost Soham who only began to play to their full potential in the last 10 minutes.

Soham twice came from behind to level the score with Ryan Brook and Elliot Drewery on the scoresheet, as the game stood at 2-2 early in the second half.

The Town defence then went into self-destruct mode to allow the home team two simple goals and one more Drewery strike wasn't enough to save them. Soham man of the match: Ryan Brook.

Soham squad: Charlie Wills, Ryan Saban, Simon Murfitt, Josh Heaps, Joel Frey, Francis Rowlands, James Seymour, Dan Whitwell, Dan Brook, Ryan Brook, Elliot Drewery, Dan Sadler, Dalton Isaacson, Michae Rola.
