ELY go into this Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Market Deeping full of confidence after producing what captain Chris Vincett described as their best performance of the season.
The midfield moved intelligently and Julian Palmer, who deftly distributed the ball to all corners of the pitch.
Man of the Match Ed Batt and fellow midfielder Stu Clarke lapped up the passes and bemused the Bourne defence with through balls to Tommy Hugo up-front.
Ed Hugo put Ely 1-0 up moments after coming off the bench after a flowing passing move.
The same man doubled the host's advantage after Feroze Abbas steamed down the wing and cut the ball back to Batt who squared it neatly to the striker.
Tom Rutledge broke through and deflected Tommy Hugo's powerful shot to make it 3-0.
The scoring was completed when Batt played a superb 50-yard pass to Tommy Hugo, who raced passed at defender and laid it back to Robbie McCall to finish.
