PUPILS from Key Stage Two at the Robert Arkenstall School in Haddenham took part in their first ever in house cross country competition on Tuesday; it was a great success and well supported by the children and parents alike.
The course involved running round the school's playing field - one lap for Year Threes, two laps for Year Fours and four laps for Years Five and Six.
Every child that took part earned themselves a medal and the winners of the shields were as follows.
Year 3 girl: Charlotte Morton 1.23.93; Year 3 boy: Jodan Jones 1.09.39; Year 4 girl: Rebecca Pedley 2.52.22; Year 4 boy: Alex Lowe 2.36.01; Year 5 girl: Lauren Flack 6.29.52; Year 5 boy: Graham Laidler 5.42.42; Year 6 girl: Emma Lowe 6.47.21; Year 6 boy: Jamie Woor 6.11.99;
Caroline Falconer sports co-ordinator for the school, said: "This will be an annual event for the school as it proved to be a great success. Well done to everyone who took part, they were a credit to the school.
