Foster, set to join Sudbury, met a Betts' cross with a stunning volley in the 20th minute to open the scoring.
Woodbridge capitalised on a defensive mix up to pull level early in the second half and then went ahead with a penalty after a Betts foul.
Foster popped up to equalise and then fire the visitors into the lead by finishing well after Lee Wilson's free-kick was headed across the area by Craig Hammond.
After Woodbridge pulled level again, Matty Clements headed the winner from another Wilson free-kick in the final minute.
Mildenhall lost 2-1 away to Leiston on Tuesday.
