Mildenhall Fen Tigers saw their unbeaten National Trophy record come to an end last Saturday – in their final Southern group fixture.
They were already assured of top spot and a place in the final ahead of the 50-39 reverse at runners-up Eastbourne.
Prolific reserve Drew Kemp continued his terrific season with a top-scoring 13-point haul for Mildenhall at Arlington Stadium despite being excluded from two of his rides.
Kemp provided all three race wins and inspired all three heat advantages for Fen Tigers, who won all seven previous meetings in this competition.
Mildenhall will face either Cradley or Birmingham, who are battling to top the Northern group, in the final. They are also through to the semi-finals of the KO Cup.
The Fen Tigers now turn their attention to a big Sunday of racing at West Row as they contest two National League fixture on the same afternoon. They entertain Kent Kings at 3pm with a clash against Isle of Wight then following.
Mildenhall have won both league outings to date in 2018. They beat Buxton 55-35 at West Row in May before triumphing 53-36 at struggling Stoke almost three weeks ago.
Midenhall Fen Tigers scorers at Eastbourne: Drew Kemp 13, Ryan Kinsley 8+1, Josh Bailey 6+1, Danny Ayres 6, Matt Marson 4+2, Sam Bebee 1+1, Danny Halsey 1+1.
