THE competition was fast and furious at the five-a-side football competition held at Soham United's ground on Saturday.
The event attracted more than 1,000 people and featured 58 boys' teams from the local area including Witchford, Stretham, Ely and Burwell.
By the end of the day, more than 300 games had been played in six age groups.
The winners, who were presented with trophies, were: Under-9s - Teversham Terriers B; under-10s - Ely Crusaders; under-11s - Witchford; under-12s - Burwell Swallows; under-13s - Waterbeach.
The under-8s teams were playing for fun and each child received a commemorative medal.
The event organisers hope the competition will be bigger and better next year and possibly include girls' team competitions.
