Triathlon ELY Tri Club’s Graham Chapman once again proved his class by taking second place in his age group in the highly competitive Beaver GB Championships
Graham, 57, posted a time of 4hrs 55mins 47seconds to take second place in the 55-59 age group and an impressive 71st place overall, out of 208 competitors, many of whom were half his age.
The annual championships take place in Leicestershire.
Meanwhile, fellow tri club members Hayley Tooke, competing in her first proper triathlon, achieved second placed female at the Grafham Olympic distance triathlon. After a quick swim of 24mins 38secs, Hayley completed the bike leg in 1hr 14mins 1sec. She completed the course with a strong 10km run in 50mins 26secs.
Andy Sole was also competing at Grafham where he also finished with a double podium of second male overall and winner of the veterans category.
