Ely Tigers 37 Bury St. Edmunds 7
ELY soon learned that Bury's pack was more then just sizeable. Although the forwards
were having more of a challenge, the backs were able to exploit gaps in the opposing back line. Chris Hobson scored and converted the first try before Dan Marsh scored after an excellent run. This was soon followed by a try from Adam Fletcher and, when Chris Hobson successfully kicked
a penalty, the Tigers had a 20-0 lead.
Bury St. Edmunds returned in the second half replacing their B team for their A team and promptly scored a try. The Tigers returned and after aggressive, powerful play by both forwards and backs they scored another three tries, which came from Chris Hobson, Theo Harrison and Jamie Robinson.
