ELY 2 exacted revenge over one of the only teams to beat them this season with a sizeable win.
Ely settled quickly and by half time were leading by nine goals. Ely's defensive trio of Victoria Cutforth, Sarah Graves and player of the match Kirsty Blencowe, frustrated the MI7 attack keeping their scoring chances to a minimum. Ely took control in the second half with Sue Everett and Debbie Knott providing accurate passes into the circle for on form shooters Janice Quarrier and Sally Shipley to net the goals.
Ely III meanwhile secured a 15-10 win over Cherry Hinton.

Ely led from the start with a strong attack from Gemma Munns and Jo Hayward, passing the ball to the prolific shooting duo of Julie Macintyre and Amy Beck. Alert defending from Kate Randall, Jo Elkington and Charlotte Butcher kept the Cherries at bay, leaving them unable to keep up with the rampant Ely side. Kate Randall was voted player of the match.
