Two Ely Swimming Club members took top prizes as the local stars secured an impressive haul of 70 medals at the Cambridgeshire County Championships recently.
Daniel Kendall and Ciara Taylor were named as top boy and girl respectively in the 11-year and 12-year age groups, while Iona Trainer finished in a respectable third place in the 14-year age group.
The club smashed 37 records on their way to taking home 23 golds, 22 silvers and 25 bronze medals, with Trainer, Kendall and Taylor winning 55 medals between them.
The trio have been rewarded for their skills with places in the regional championships, which take place in May.
Youngster George Goodfellow won eight medals, Thomas Alderton took home five and Joseph Alsop scooped two bronzes.
