A GROUP of 50 talented young tae kwon-do fighters from the Mark Farnham School in Ely successfully passed their colour belt gradings.
Gradings take place four times a year, with students from within the 14 Mark Farnham Schools getting the opportunity to perform in front of 7th and 8th Dan tae kwon-do masters at King’s Lynn or Bury St Edmunds.
April’s grading saw 140 Mark Farnham students, including 50 from Ely attend gradings, with some as young as five taking part.
Ely pupils achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, all with good grades, in front of examiner master Ron Sergiew, an 8th Dan instructor with more than 40 years experience.
Students received their grades and belts at presentations which were held at their own school this week.
