Ely skater Chantel scoops double championship crown

Artistic Roller Skating

Chantel Lyon came away with two gold medals from the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating British Championships.

Held over the weekend in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Ely competitor Chantel, topped the girl’s championship table with a combined points total of 179.250.

She sealed the combined win thanks to a first place finish in the figures and a fifth place in the free skate.

Club colleague Sophie Woodbridge took third place in the youth figures category, earning her a place in the British squad.

Alethea Mack finished in the top six in her age group.
