THE Ely Runners return to action this weekend as they look to recapture their crown in the Frostbite League.
Now in its 20th year, the Frostbite League is a six race running championship that draws the best of the running clubs from across Cambridgeshire. Races are normally between five and six miles long and take place on varying terrain in the hardest conditions the season has to offer.
Ely have twice been champions in the last five years but current holders Riverside Runners have won back-to-back championships and remain the team to beat. Ely currently sit just three points behind Riverside after their overall second place finish in Novermber's race in Peterborough.
This Sunday the third race in the calendar takes place with a trip to the new circuit in Hinchingbrook Country Park in Huntingdon the venue.
Check back on Monday to find out how Ely got on.
