RUGBY hotshots Sam Hirons and Charley Burgess show off the Under-15s County Championship Cup after an emphatic victory against Shelford.
The Year 10 students at King’s Ely helped Huntingdon Stags retain the title by beating Shelford 16-5 in the final.
The cup is being circulated across all the schools which have students in the Stags side - and King’s head of rugby Steve Johnson presented Sam and Charley with the trophy in assembly.
Mr Johnson said: “Huntingdon’s win at the Under-15s County Championship Cup is a very significant achievement. Shelford is one of the largest teams in the county, making the Stags the underdogs.
“Both Sam and Charley should be really proud of their performances, which no doubt contributed to the team’s strong victory.”
