Cycling Ely & District Cycling Club riders were in action in the West Suffolk Wheelers time trial event, held on Saturday.
Four Ely riders took part in the event, which saw bright sunshine but a cold head wind in places on an undulating course around the Suffolk village of Risby.
Among the 64 riders at the start were Colin Whitechurch, Cliff Loveday, Tom Sykes and Mathew Eley, with Whitechurch finishing the two lap circuit in 1hr 18secs, Loveday recorded a time of 58mins 21secs, Skyes 56mins 52secs and Eley recorded 50mins 24secs.
The winning time was 46mins 36secs posted by Cambridge Cycling Club’s David McGaw.
