Ely quartet come away with Norfolk stableford win

A TEAM of four ladies from Ely City Golf Club won the Ryston Park Ladies Autumn Open Stableford Competition in Norfolk at the weekend.

Beverly Filby, Eve Mair, Barbara Woods and Binnie Bridgeman beat teams from Norfolk, Suffolk, and Lincolnshire and other teams from Cambridgeshire to win with a score of 87 points.

A team from Richmond Park came in second with a score of 83 points and the Dereham team third with 81 points on count back.

Another Ely City GC member Margaret Law won the prize for nearest the line when her drive on the 2nd/11th hole landed exactly on the line.
