Though Ely have already wrapped up promotion for this year there was no hint of complacency in their game as they powered past their over-stretched opponents.
Two goals each for Tom Rutledge and Chris Purlant proved the highlight for the visitors, who went into the break three goals to the good. A well-taken goal from Tommy Hugo completed a comfortable victory for the visitors amid lamentable conditions.
