LAST season, Ely City Hockey Club had its most successful year to date with both the men's and ladies' first teams gaining promotion into regional leagues.

As such, the club is looking to grow and recruit new players for the upcoming season and is keen to hear from players of all abilities from experienced hockey players right through to those who haven't picked up a stick since school.

This season the club has four men's teams playing in East Hockey Division 2N, Div 4NW, Div 5NW and Div 6NWS and for the first time in the club's history, three ladies teams playing in East Hockey Div 2NW and Div 2 of the Cambridgeshire Ladies League.

Club training is on Tuesday's from 8-9.30pm and next Tuesday (Aug 25) is the club's open evening which offers a coach-led session for all potential players. From August 26, first team training will be on Wednesday's for both the men (8-9.30pm) and ladies (7.30-9.15pm).
