ELY City fourth team recaptured their winning form with a 9-0 victory over Rutland.

Despite Rutland fielding an under-strength team, Ely played some stirring hockey to wrest control of proceedings early and ultimately rack up a sizeable win.

A brace apiece for Pete Jones and Matt Warby proved the highlight of Ely's performance with further goals, including a cracker from Mark Golder, being spread across the team.

The win sees the young side move up to seventh place in Division 7NW of the East Hockey League with a visit form St Ives next up.
