ELY City pair Natasha Bamford and Greta Barclay produced consistent golf to win the Junior/Ladies Greensomes at Girton Golf Club at the weekend.
They scored 40 points to take top spot, the highlight of the round being a chip-in from the edge of the green by Natasha for four points. Second place went to Bourn’s Charlotte and Hazel Platt with 37 points, with Harriet Haywood and Julie Walter of St Ives in third place with 36 points.
Katie Nicoll (Menzies) and Barbara Nicoll (Saffron Walden) won the prize for best nine in with 20 points with Sophie Nicoll (Gogs) and Jaine Fieldhouse (Saffron Walden) winning the best nine out with 21 points.
In the competition County Junior Megan Willis (Old Nene) scored a hole-in-one on the very tricky 172 yard par three 12th hole using a rescue club.
