ELY 2 overcame some atrocious conditions at the weekend to score an impressive 33-20 victory over old-rivals B52.
Hindered by grim overhead conditions, Ely had to stay focused with shooting proving to be difficult for front duo Janice Qaurrier and Anita Reidy.
Despite the wind and rain however, the front pair soon settled into their rhythm and by half-time had helped open up an eight goal advantage.
Stonewall defending and courageous attacking was too much for B52's to contend with after the break and Ely powered ahead to seal an emphatic win.
